For seal-off-first (SOF) applications, the bags enter the roll with the open end first. During winding, the process prevents air from being trapped inside the bags without the need for holes. When the finished roll is unwound, the bags are delivered with the sealed bottom first, positioning them correctly for automatic insertion into boxes or other downstream processes.

The HMW 750 features automatic core loading and roll change. For conventional winding, no tape, glue or other fixation of the bags or film to the core is required. For SOF applications requiring the last bag to remain attached at the end of the roll, the bag can be attached without adhesive contaminating the paper core, allowing the core to be reused.

With a maximum film speed of 220 m/min, the HMW 750 combines high-speed production with the flexibility to handle both conventional and specialized winding applications.

• Compact packing machine for packing rolls into boxes. This unit is installed behind the winder and includes a card board case erector, feeding conveyers, system for packing the rolls into the box and a case closer at the outlet of the packing machine.
• Case erector, robot for packing the rolls into the case and a case closer. The rolls can be picked directly from the winder shafts or from a feeding conveyor. Use this solution if you want to change packing pattern or roll dimensions frequently.
• Integrated robot at the roll bag winder. The robot arm picks up the rolls directly from the winder shaft, or at a fixture at the winder, and delivers the rolls to the customer designed case packaging solution.

The Carton Packer is installed after the winder and includes feeding conveyers, a cardboard case erector, a taping unit for closing the bottom of the box and a system for packing the rolls into the box. It is possible to add a case closer and a transport conveyor after the carton packer, for an even more automated production.

A rotating, servo-driven perforating system supports continuous operation at high production speeds. The perforating distance can be adjusted from the control panel or controlled by print mark registration.

The FW can handle thin-, medium- and heavy-gauge film and can be configured with folding equipment to match different product requirements. It can run in-line with an extruder or out-of-line with an unwinder.

In addition to garden covers and dust sheets, the FW can be used for other folded film products supplied in flat packs, such as table covers.

Web cutting is done in stop position, providing a clean, right-angle cut even when processing heavy-gauge film.

The line combines a rotary punching module with a winder. The apron pattern is cut from the film, and the cut-out material is removed automatically before the finished aprons are wound into rolls.

Flexible dies make it possible to change the cutting pattern for different product requirements. Roll-o-Matic’s motorized die adjustment system allows precise adjustment during production without stopping the line.

The finished aprons can be wound with or without cores. Optional equipment includes print registration, folding equipment, paper tape, sleeve packaging and scrap handling.
