Roll-o-Matic's History
1967 – Roll-o-Matic A/S is founded in Denmark as a manufacturer of customized equipment for the plastic film industry. Roll-o-Matic, as the first in the world, introduces a production line for manufacturing of bags on rolls in a fully automated process.
1982 – Roll-o-Matic becomes part of the TT Plastic Machinery, which also includes Falcon and Sumas. TT Plastic Machinery is part of the Thrige Titan Group.
1994 – Roll-o-Matic is bought by 3 members of the management and an investment group and becomes independent again. The production is moved to Petersmindevej in Odense.
1998 – The unique Delta sealing concept is introduced at the K show in Düsseldorf.
1999 – The Compact line, developed specially for in-line production, is launched.
2009 – The star-sealed T-shirt kit, which allows production of standard T-shirt bags and star-sealed T-shirt bags in the same line, is introduced.
2010 – The Compact max™ and the Delta max™ sealing modules are introduced.
2011 – The Delta DT with fill-safe sealing system is launched.
2011 – The Omega series, with drum sealing technology, is introduced.
2013 – The Delta 1100 is launched.
2013 – Roll-o-Matic teams up with a new investor, Blue Equity, creating a joint ownership between Blue Equity and Roll-o-Matic’s managing partners.
2015 – Roll-o-Matic moves to new facilities in Vissenbjerg.
2016 – Roll-o-Matic establishes a company in the USA – Roll-o-Matic Inc.
2016 – The Interleaved High-speed Winder is launched in the K show in Düsseldorf.
2017 – Roll-o-Matic celebrates its 50 years anniversary.
2018 – Maj Invest Equity, an investing fond with many years of experience in counseling small and medium sized companies, buys Blue Equity’s share of Roll-o-Matic, creating a joint ownership between Maj Invest Equity and Roll-o-Matic’s managing partners.
